Over the past 12 years we've pioneered much of the development online in the Christian arena. We started under the domain upword.org on a virtually hosted site. Since then we've built and developed several other domains and now run them under our own entity and also have become a name registration and hosting company as well through ChosenWebHost.com.
Time and experience has taught us how to bring traffic to a web site and on some of our sites our web traffice hovers around a half million hits per month. We can offer you more informaton and expertise and even work with your site more closely if you want to increase hits to your site. Simply use our contact form and tell us what you would like to do.
Although we can't guarantee your success, to achieve success there are several factors involved. Firstly, your website content needs to be something that is appealing and useful to a wide audience. Secondly, the site needs to be easy to read and easy to navigate. Your site layout plays an important part in the way people view your site. You don't have to have fancy graphics or even a lot of them. One example is Google, very basic site, yet they are a company worth billions of dollars and provide many services and information on their site.
You're probably reading this because you are either an owner of a Christian website or you want to start one. If neither of these are true you may still be able to gain from this information. Because many of the search engines take information off your site from the content on it, you want to be sure that your content is what people are searching for. One example is, if I were looking for Christian books, I might go on a search engine and look for "Christian Books." Once the results appear I will see sites that are offering Christian books. Or more specifically I can search for certain types of books such as "Bibles." Then sites that offer Bibles will appear. Are you getting the idea?
You might also attract certain types of peoplel who adhere to certain beliefs, such as "Sabbath keepers." Now when people use a search engine and type in "Sabbath keepers" if those words are on your site there is a chance your site will appear in the list.
Using meta tags is a good idea also, use words that describe your site. Although many search engines no longer use them, some do and it can help increase your site's success.
